Insurance Companies Under Pressure By Various Claims From Los Angeles Wildfire Victims

_In a blow to insurance companies that have included natural disasters as a reason for not paying out, a group of US law firms are offering California residents affected by the recent wildfires the opportunity to seek compensation from their insurance companies.

Law firms such as Class Law Group, Descartes Underwriting, Excel Adjusters, Injury Claims, and others are advertising on this topic. Injury Claims writes on its website under the title “Have You Been Injured by the Recent Wildfires in Los Angeles County?” that “Recent wildfires in Los Angeles County were fueled by prolonged drought, intense Santa Ana windsm and potential negligence from Southern California Edison. These wildfires have damaged thousands of homes and forced families in the Palisades, Eaton, and Hurst areas to evacuate.”

They have divided the ongoing wildfire into three parts: the Palisades Fire, the Eaton Fire, and the Hearst Fire, and have called on Californians to hold Southern California Edison responsible for the severity of the fire and demand compensation from them.

Another international law firm, Descartes Underwriting, also provides essential legal services to wildfire victims. They use the latest scientific research to accurately assess wildfire damage and design customized cover for their clients, ensuring that insureds are assured of the benefits they can expect to receive against wildfire losses during the risk period.

Another firm, Shegerian Law, offers to waive fees until the compensation is paid. On its website, the firm's founder, attorney Carney R. Shegerian, writes under the title "Trust An Attorney Who Has Lost A Home Twice to Fires" that, ""Having lost my home twice, once in the Woolsey Fire and again in the Palisades Fire, I know firsthand the overwhelming heartbreak and the emotional toll of watching everything you’ve worked for go up in flames. But I also know the strength it takes to rebuild, not just the physical structure, but your life, your sense of security, and your hope for the future."

Shegerian Law says in their proposal that they want to ensure that a victim receives potential compensation and only pays for their work. And if the insurance company does not contest the victim's claim, they will not charge any fees. Through this organization, a victim can also get help in submitting their claim and writing a claim form if necessary.

That is, if the investigation proves that a government or utility or commercial organization was responsible for the fire or that they were negligent, then attempts will be made to recover insurance money from insurance companies by holding that organization responsible for any damage.
