_Aditi Rao Hydari is an actress, dancer and singer from India. She was born on October 28, 1986 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradash of India. She started her career as a Bharatanatyam dancer. She learned Bharatanatyam at her age of six and became a disciple of acclaimed dancer Leela Samson at the age of eleven.
The Malayalam film Prajapathi was her first film to have theatrical relese in 2006. In 2009 she acted in Delhi-6, a Hindi drama film by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
Aditi had a dream to be an actress from the childhood that's why she started working with the southern film industry after graduation and made her debut in acting in the Tamil movie Sringaram directed by Sharada Ramanathan in 2004. The film received critical acclaim upon being shown in India and won three National Film Award. Sringaram had a low-profile theatrical release in 2007.

Hydari got married secretly to Satyadeep Mishra, a Bollywood and television actor but got separated. Her father was Muslim and Mother Hindu. Aditi is the grand daughter of Akber Hydari, former prime Minister of Hyderabad state (Colonial India) and the grand niece of Mohammed Saleh Akbar, former governer of Assam.
Her maternal grand parents are Raja J Rameshwar Rao and Shanta Rameshwar Rao. Raja Rameshwar Rao headed the administration of Wanaparthi state during colonial India and Shanta Rameshwar Rao was a respected educationalist in Hyderabad and was the chair person of the publishing house 'Orient Blackswan'.
Film director Kiran Rao, wife of actor and director Amir Khan is her maternal first cousin. Aditi's parents got separated when she was at her age of two. After that her father Ehsaan Hydari married again but did not have any children. Her mother remained single. Hydari live with her mother.
Aditi was born to Ehsaan Hydari and Vidya Rao. Vidya Rao was an acclaimed classical singer.

Hydari became famous after acting in Sudhir Mishra's romantic thriller movie 'Yeh Saali Zindegi' in 2011. After having the success she acted in 'Rockstar' in 2011, 'London, Paris, New York' in 2012, 'Boss' in 2013, 'Khoobsurat' in 2014, 'Guddu Rangeela' in 2015, 'Fitoor' and 'Wazir' in 2016, 'Bhoomi', 'Antariksham 9000 KMPH' and 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' in 2018 etc.
Aditi became a part of Mahesh Bhatt's Murder franchise in 2013. She also starred in Mani Ratnam's 'Kaatru Veliyidai' in 2017 and 'Padmaavat' in 2018. Her another movie Sufiyum Sujatayum primered on Amazon on July 3, 2020, the movie marked marks Aditi's return to the Malayalam film industry, 14 years after her big screen debut with 'Prajapathi', co-starring Mammootty.
Hydari showed exceptional performance in her latest movie Ajeeb Daastaans released in Netflix in 2021. She played a naive character in this movie as a married young woman, Priya Sharma, who embarks on a journey of self-discovery as the story unfolds.
Among these activities Aditi Rao is also a singer. Her debut song was for the movie London, Paris, New York in 2012 where she sung two songs. She also sung the Hindi Version of the song We are family for the Hollywood animation film Ice Age 4 : Continental driff.
In 2016, direct selling beauty and cosmetics company Avon announced Aditi as the brand ambassador for Avon Color in India.

Aditi studied in 'Rishi Valley School' in Madanapalle, Andhra Pradesh, India. She completed her graduation from 'Lady Shri Ram College for woman', a constituent college of the prestigious University of Delhi.

Aditi received the Screen Award for Best Supporting Actress Award for acting in the movie 'Yeh Saali Zindegi' in 2011. She also won DadaSaheb Phalke excellence Award as Best Actress (Critics).
